BEVERLY HILLS, Calif., December 14, 2006 – The votes are in! Just in time for Chanukah (December 15-22, 2006), JDate, the leading online community for Jewish singles, polled its Philadelphia members on the best date destinations for the eight nights of the Festival of Lights. From the best kosher date to the best BYO-Manischewitz, JDaters in the City of Brotherly Love voted, and the winners are:
Best Place for a Stroll after a Hearty Chanukah Meal
Rittenhouse Square (86%) beat out Fairmount Park (8%) and LOVE Park (6%)
Best BYO-Manischewitz
Dmitri’s (58%) won out over Pumpkin (26%) and Trio BYOB (16%)
Best Candlelight Dinner
Mantra (36%) narrowly won the close race with Bistro Romano (35%) and Bistro St. Tropez (29%)
Best Latkes
Famous 4th Street Delicatessen (56%) has the finest potato pancakes, followed by Brasserie Perrier (27%) and Honey’s Sit ‘N’ Eat (17%)
Best Kosher Date Destination
Famous 4th Street Delicatessen (51%) wins again over Maccabeam Restaurant (28%) and Honey’s Sit ‘N’ Eat (21%)
Best Post-family Cocktails
Continental Mid-Town (66%) was chosen top shelf over The Walnut Room (22%) and Marbar (12%)
Best Music Date for the Festival of Lights
Bourbon Blue (53%) has the best tunes around, but Paradiso (30%) and Mamma Maria (17%) are pleasing to the ears as well
Best Post-kugel Coffee
Old City Coffee (44%) was chosen best beanery, followed by Last Drop Coffeehouse (34%) and Ray’s Café & Tea House (22%)
Chanukah begins on Friday, December 15th at sundown, and lasts until Dec. 22nd. These Eight JDates of Chanukah will certainly spice up this holiday season.
